Balboa Island

Balboa Island - Comprising three man-made islands, the area that makes up Balboa Island is one of the county's densest population centers. Approximately 3,000 people live on just 0.2 square miles! Visit Balboa Island and explore the laid-back beach culture, fish on the numerous piers, or browse the locally-owned shops. Legend has it that the chocolate covered banana was first created here - sample one, or a "Balboa Bar," a similar treat made with a square of chocolate-dipped vanilla ice cream on a stick!

Balboa Peninsula -
Stroll one of the main commercial strips of Newport Beach on your way to take the ferry to nearby Balboa Island or on your quest for nightlife and entertainment.
